Temporary sidewalk on Tamarack Ave. between Public Works Director

- Statement of the Matter
At the regular meeting of the City Council on December' 5, the Public
Works Director was requested to investigate the feasibility of installing
temporary sidewalk on Tamarack Ave. westerly of Jefferson St, and to
report back to the Council with an approximate cost,
Temporary sidewalk can be installed in the requested location.
additional investigation into the pedestrian habits in the area will
be necessary to determine whether sidewalk should be installed on one
side of the street or both,

Sidewalk on the south side can be installed for approximately $1500.
Sidewalk on both sides can be installed for approximately $2500, If
it is the Council's desire to proceed with temporary walks, it is
recommended that funds in the amount of $2500 be designated for this
project,
appropriate source of .funds appears to be Revenue Sharing.

Staff Recommendations
If desired, adopt a motion:
1. Directing the Public Works Director to proceed with installation of
temporary asphalt sidewalks on one or both sides of Tamarack between
Jefferson St. and Carlsbad Blvd; and,
2, Directing the Finance Director to transfer $2500 from Revenue Sharing
to ACCt #1-113-4,1,
