Pieti Admin. Assistant At the regular scheduled Council meeting of January 16, 1973, the question of construction costs at points of public beach access arose. The tenor of the question implied that Council assumed this was a staff project being actively pursued. Research revealed that though preliminary costs had been quoted to Council at the September 19, 1972 Council meeting, there is no active pursuit of this project underway by.any department. The question to the Council is whether or not Council desires further information regarding construction costs for improved means of public access to beaches?. If Council does desire cost information, should these costs be prepared separately or included in the Fiscal Year 1973-74 Budget? Exhibit None Staff Recommendations 1. That construction cost information for the four separate access points listed below be included in the Fiscal Year 1973-74 Budget. a. Beach access at Elm Avenue b. Beach access at Grand Avenue c. Beach access in the vicinity of the Army -Navy Academy d. It is recommended cost estimates for these access, points be tabled until private development proceeds.
