2-20-73 Mr. Gordon Sears' Letter of resignation was accepted with regret, and the staff instructed to send Mr. Sears a letter of appreciation. The appointment to the Parks and Recreation Commission was deferred to the Meeting of March 6, 1973.
3-6-73 No action was taken and matter continued.
3-20-73 Mr. Myles Regan, 2060 Basswood was appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission to fill the unexpired term of Gordon Sears, whose term will expire in August of 1974.

Dear Mayor Dunne:
Please accept this letter as my resignation from the Carlsbad City
Paxk and Recreation Commission.
Within the next few weeks, possibly only days, my wife and I Will
be moving from Carlsbad to a new promotional assignment within my
Department at either OUT Santa Barbara or Santa Rosa District Office.
Needless to say, I have enjoyed the short time that I have served on the Commission and have especially enjoyed the i’+ years that my family and I have been privileged to reside in Carlsbad.
we can return sometime in the future.
