Statement of the Matter
Thi present physical arrangement of the City Manager's office does no
lend itself to maximum efficincy. The office, given the immediate acc to the Conference Room, is unnecessarily large while the secretarial area is too small. It is also desirable to provide some small waitin area for the many citizens who deal with the Manager's office on a daily basis. The influx of the City Attorney and his bookcases has effectively eliminated that area.
It is my intention to make some minor changes to my office. Estimate total cost of the work to be done by City Forces is $750.00. A por- tion of my office will be partitioned off for a small clerical-waitin room and a direct access will be provided to it through a new door opening into the hallway. This would eliminate the present congestio where citizens waiting to see the City Attorney and City Manager must stand in a small room or wait in the corridors. The estimated amount for remodeling is available within the General Governmental Buildings account. At a later date some transfers within my budget will be g;gf2spry to purchase seating for the new area.
