City Manager's Recommendation
The calculation of the tax rate is continuing over the
.weekend prior to the City Council meeting but it is the
intent of the City Manager to keep the tax rate at
approximately the- same level of the 1972-73 year. With
the anticipated growth of the City during this fiscal
year and the following fiscal year, and the administrative
and operating cost that will be influenced by such growth,
' it becomes imperative to keep the City in a sound financial
condition.
The recommended tax rate, therefore, will be in amounts to
finance the operation of the City departments during the
fiscal year and to retain a favorable financial condition
so there can be a favorable carry over into the following
fiscal year. . "
