Statement. of the 'Matter
1. Presentlyv Section 10.44.030(d) of the.City of Carlsbad Municipal
Code states that the speed limit on Carlsbad Blvd. from Palomar
Airport Road southerly to the south city limits shall be 45 miles
per hour. However, the area has not been posted and the limit is
not being enforced. After reviewing the traffic speed zone survey,.
the Traffic Safety -Commission recommended that the above section of.
the Municipai.L)de be repealed, thereby leaving Carlsbad Blvd.
between Palomar Airport Road and the south city limits with no
posted speed limit.
2. Upon reviev,- of the traffic speed, zone -survey, the Traffic Safety
Commission recommended that a 45 mile per hour speed zone be
established on Palomar Airport Road between Carlsbad Blvd. and
Plaza deli Norte.
