I have been asked to comment on documents CT 73-32 and 73-33, a proposed condominium
project in the La Costa area. Circumstances have not changed since the district
was asked to comment on previous proposals to construct additional dwelling units
within the boundaries of the San Meguito Union High School District. Additional
student population generated from new dwelling units throughout the district has
continued to place severe strains on our limited facilities.
-Jin & re cent joint meeting between the 'Carlsbad -City Council 'and the Carlsbad Unified
School District, San Dieguito officials had an opportunity to express our concerns
•relative to the construction of additional dwelling units within this school district.
The San Dieguito Board of Trustees has adopted a policy calling on developers to
assist the district financially to help offset the cost of providing facilities for
students generated from new housing developments. _At the present time, we have_had
no c on t a c t v/i th the developers of this project and must take a position in ,Qp.gpsj..ti.9n_
't o t he c on s t r u c t i on o fan y a cI'ditxanaT dwelling units that may place additional burdens
