1. The Civil Defense DirectCIr coordinates and directs disaster

the Unified San Diego County Operational Area Coordinator.
2. The Unified San Diego County Operational Area koordinator; at
the County Emergency Operations Center,.provides for the
countywide:
a. Coordination of Wutual Aid
b. Liaison with Federal & State agencies
c. Disaster Situation Reports (SITREPS) *
~ , d. Allocation of mjor Resources (i.e. utilities, fuel,
medica 1 , food ) (Note: For details refer to the Operations Plan for the -. " " '
City and.the countywide Unified Operations Plan.) ..
3. (#) Development of these emergency services is carried out
countywide by the Staff, Unified Organization. In a national
emergency or significant natural disaster, these services would
be under the direction of the appropriate Operational Area Chief
of Service (Coroner, Health, Medical, Emergency Welfare). How-
ever the organized (or designated) Service Groups in each city,
and in the sixteen (16) Service Centers 'of the unincorporated
area of the County, would be under the direction- of the appro-
priate City/County Civil Defense Director when countywide
coordination and control cannot be exercised by the Operational
Area Chief of Service.
