HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-01-02; City Council; 2266; Amendment to Resolution 3176 Adoption of 73-74•THE CITY O F CARLSBAD,C A~~L I F' O R N I A Agenda Bill No.te .- January- 2. ,1974 Referred To: Subject: AMENDMENT TO RESOLUTION #3176 ADOPTION OF 1973-74 BUDGET Submitted By: CITY MANAGER Statement of the Matter AT THE COUNCIL MEETING OF DECEMBER 4, 1973, THE CITY MANAGER WAS REQUESTED TO PREPARE AN AGENDA BILL ON AN AMENDMENT TO RESOLUTION #3176, ADOPTING THE 1973-74 BUDGET, TO ALLOW THE CITY MANAGER TO ADMINISTRATIVELY MAKE CHANGES IN THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT ACCOUNT UP TO $500.00. Exhibit RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION #3176 staff Recommendations to City Manager ADOPT RESOLUTION # AB N°- Date: January 2, 1974 City Manager's Recommendation As previously recommended, this change will allow for greater administration flexibility and minimize Council time while still maintaining the integrity of this adopted budget. Council Action 1-2-74 Resolution #3325 amending Resolution No. 3176 which adopted the operating budget for 1973-74 by amending controls on changes in appropriations established by said resolution was adopted. -2- RESOLUTION NO. 3325 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 3176 WHICH ADOPTED THE FOR THE CITY OF CARLSBAD BY AMENDING THE CONTROLS ON CHANGES IN APPROPRIATIONS ESTABLISHED BY SAID RESOLUTION. OPERATING BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1973-74 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows : That Section 4 of Resolution No. 3176 is amended to read as follows: "Section 4. That the City Manager is authorized to approve capital expenditures for particular budgeted items of $2,500.00 or less. Any such expenditure of more than $2,500.00 shall require the approval of the City Council. The City Manager may approve a transfer of funds from item to item or account to account within the total of any Department's Capital Outlay accounts in an amount up to $500.00. The City Manager may approve capital expenditures for a non-budgeted capital item in an amount of $500.00 or less in connection with a fund transfer within the total of any Department's Capital Outlay account. Any changes so approved shall be reported to the City Council." PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 2nd day of January , 1974, by the following vote, to wit: AYES : Cmn. D~RYI~~ McComas, Lewis9 Chase and Frazee.
