Bids for subject contract were opened on December 27, 1973, and the
results are shown on the bid summary. The low bid was 6% above the engineer's estimate.
The total estimated project cost is:

WIIEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad for
construction of a signal at Pi0 Pic0 Drive and Tamarack Avenue,
Contract #1015; and,
WHEREAS, the low bid received for this construction was
submitted by Wilcox Electric DBA Arrow Electric in the amount
of $26,499; and,
WIIEREAS, funds in the amount of $30,000.00 are available in
the Revenue Sharing Account #1-28;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. The bid of $26,499.00 by Wilcox Electric DRA Arrow Elect?"
of Lemon Grove, California, for Contract i"f1015, for construction
of a signal at Pi0 Pic0 and Tamarack, is hereby accepted and the

Contract No. 1015
No bid will be received unless it is nade on a proposal form furnished
by the Engineering Depar*Lment- certified check or bidder's bond made payable to the City of Caylsbad,
€or an amount equal to at least 10 per ce~t of the amount bid.
Each bid nust be accompanied by cash,
The documents included within the sealed bids which require completion and execution are the following:
1. Page 3 - Proposal 2. Page 6 - Designation of Subcontractors
3. Pege 7 - Con~a~ur*~~~-~~~~~~a~ Status
4. Page E - Bidder's Bond
The documents shall be affixed with the appropriate signatures and titles
of the persons signing on behalf of the bidder. For corporations, the signatures' of the President or Vice-President and Secretary or Assistant Secretary are required and the Corporate Seal shall be effixed to all

All bids are to be compared on the basis of the Engineer's estimate. The estimated quantities are approximate only, being given solely as a basis for the conparison of bids.
No bid will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in
accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 111 of Business and Professions' Code. The contractor shall state his license number and classification in the proposal.
Plans, Special Provisions and Contract Docwents nay be obtained at the Engineering Department, City Hall, Carlsbad, California, at no cost to
licensed contractors. A nonrefundable charge of none - will be required
for each set of plans, special provisions and contract documents €or other than licensed contractors. It is requested that the plans and
special provisions be returned within 2 weeks after the bid. 0penir.g.
The City of Carlsbad reserves the right to reject any or all bids and
to waive any informality in such bids.
A project tour will be conducted by the City of Carlsbad Engineering

In accordance with the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor CoCe, the City Couacil of the City of Carlsbad has ascertainee the geserai
