Statement of the Matter
Due to recent annexations the Registrar of Voters found it necessary to
change •§ boundaries of some of the election precincts.
The City Council on December 4, 1973, adopted Resolution #3290, which
established 18 voting precincts comprised of the regular election precincts
Therefore, it is now necessary to amend 'Resol uti on #3290 to reflect these
changes.

RESOLUTION NO. 3351
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 3290, CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE
HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION, BY
THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 5 TO CHANGE CERTAIN
VOTING PRECINCTS AND DESIGNATED POLLING
PLACES AND TO APPOINT OFFICERS OF ELECTION.
WHEREAS, on December 4, 1973 the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad adopted Resolution No. 3290, calling and giving notice
of the holding of a General Municipal Election to be held in said
City on Tuesday, the 5th day of March, 1974; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that certain changes be made as to
the voting precincts and designated polling places, and to appoint
officers of election for their respective voting precincts;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Section 5 of Resolution
No. 3290 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 5. That for the purpose of holding said regular
general municipal election, there shall be and are hereby estab-
lished eighteen (18) voting precincts consisting of consolidations
of the regular election precincts in the City of Carlsbad
established for the holding of state and county elections, as
said regular election precincts exist on the date of adoption of
this resolution. That the polling places for the respective
precincts shall be the places hereinafter designated; and that
the persons hereinafter named, being competent and qualified
electors and residents of said City and of their respective voting
precincts, are hereby appointed officers of election for their
respective voting precincts and they shall hold said election and
make return thereof in the manner provided by law.
