Statemant of the Matter
The City is the owner of a lot on Basswood Avenue. Several
inquiries have been received from real estate developers who
have adjoining land, some of which is landlocked. They wish
to determine if the City will sell this lot.
The Planning Commission by Resolution No. 911 sees no future need for the property. Therefore, if the Council looks with favor on a sale of this parcel, the necessary legal steps can be taken. This is not Water Department property. The money generated by such a sale would go into the General Fund.

Staff Recommendations to the City Manager
Advise selling property at a minimum bid price of $10,000.00,
subject to sealed bid. At the bid opening interested buyers could increase the high bid in 5% increments until sold.

At the adjourned meeting of the Planning Commission on March 8, 1974, the Planning Director and Assistant to the City Manager, Bill Baldwin, reported that the proposed James Drive extension was a matter of discussion at the City Council.
