Statement of the Matter 3
At its February 4, 1974 meeting, the Traffic Safety Commission recommended
that stop control be installed on the south leg of Highland Drive at its
intersection with Hillside Drive, thereby stopping northbound traffic on Highland Drive. This was recommended because of the poor sight distance and the distribution of traffic. volumes at the above Y-intersection (see Exhibit “B”). The Commission also recommended that the existing stop sign on Hillside Drive remain in place at this time because of the poor
sight distance on that approach.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OP CARLSBAD, CALIl3lRNlA AUTEIORIZING STOP
CONTROL ON THE SOUTII LEG OF HIGHLAND DRIVE
AT HILLSIDE DRIVE -
The City Council of the City oE Carlsbad, California does
hereby resolve as follows:
1. That stop control be established on the south leg of
Highland Drive at its intersection with Hillside Drive,
thereby stopping northbound traffic on Highland Drive.
PASSED, APPKOVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council held the 19thday of March, , 1974, by the following -
vote, to wit:

NOES: None
ABSENT: done
