__ Statement-of the Matter
Plans and specifications have been completed for 1973-74 Street Resurfacing
Program.
The streets to be resurfaced are shown on Exhibit 2. Selection of streets
were based on existing pavement conditions and traffic flows.
The Engineer's estimate for this contract is $60,000.00. Funds are available as follows:

A breakdown of total commitment of the $89,500 is itemized below:

RESOLUTION NO. 3'422
. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLAPUS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK
TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS ON CONTRACT NO. 1021,
ASPHALT CONCRETE OVERLAY OF VARIOUS CITY STREETS
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for Contract No. 1021
have been prepared; and
WHEREAS, said plans and specifications have been filed with
the office of the City Engineer of the City of Carlsbad and are
incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has
determined that it is necessary and in the public interest to
perform said construction;
NOW, THEREFORE, i3E IT RESOLVED that the plans and specifica-
tions as presented are hereby approved and the City Clerk of the
City is authorized and directed to proceed to publish in accordancr
with law, notice to bidders calling for bids for the service hereii
above referred to.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a meeting of the City Council
of the Ci.ty' of Carlsbad, California, held May 2'1 1374
by the following vote, to wit: .
AYES: Councilmen Frazee, Chase, McConias and Lewis
