At its August 5, 1974 meeting, the Traffic Safety Commission recommended
that YIELD signs be installed on both Pine Avenue and Walnut Avenue at their intersections with Roosevelt Street and Madison Street. The east- bound and westbound traffic on Pine and Walnut Avenues would therefore
yield to northbound and southbound traffic on Roosevelt and Madison Streets.
The recommendations resulted from the Commission's review of the existing
traffic and accident patterns.

OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING YIELD
CONTROL ON THE EAST AND $JEST LEGS OF PINE AVENUE AIJD WALTJUT AVEPJUE AT THEIR INTERSEC-
TIONS WITH ROOSEVELT STREET AIJD -MADISON STREET.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does
hereby resolve as follows:
1. That yield control be established on the west and east
legs of Pine Avenue at its intersection with Roosevelt
Street, whereby eastbound and westbound traffic on
Pine Avenue must yield to all traffic on Roosevelt
Street.
2. That yield control be established on the west and east
legs of Pine Avenue at its intersection with Madison
Street, whereby eastbound and westbound traffic on
Pine Avenue must yield to all traffic on Madison
Street.
3. That yield control be established on the west and east
legs of Walnut Avenue at its intersection with Rooseveli
Street, whereby eastbound and westbound traffic on
'CJalnut Avenue must yield to all traffic on Roosevelt
Street.
4. That yield control be established on the west and east
legs of Walnut Avenue at its intersection with Madison
Street, whereby eastbound and westbound traffic on
Walnut Avenue nust yield to all traffic on Madison
Street.
PASSED, APPROVED N?D ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held the 17th day of September
1974, by the following vote, to wit:
