At its June 3, 1974 meeting, the Traffic Safety Commission recommended
that the existing STOP sign on the west leg of Pine Avenue be removed and that a YIELD sign be installed on Garfield Street, thereby facing 1 northbound traffic on that leg of the intersection. This would provide a more logical assignment of motorist's right-of-way at the above
T-intersection.

RESOLUTION NO. 3514
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSEAD, CALI'FORNIA AUTHORIZING YIELD
CONTROL ON THE SOUTH LEG OF GARFIELD STREET
AT PINE AVENUE AND ELIMINATING EXISTING
STOP CONTROL ON THE WEST LEG OF PINE AVENUE
AT GARFIELD STREET. \
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California does
hereby resolve as follows:
1. That yield control be established on the soutk leg of
Garfield Street at its intersection with Pine Avenue,
whereby northbound traffic on Garfield Street must
yield to all traffic on Pine Avenue.
2. That the existing stop control be eliminated on the
west leg of Pine Avenue at its intersection with
Garfield Street.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held the 17th day of SePte;:?ber,
1974, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Chase, HcCo!~ias, Lewis and Skotnnicki
NOES: !lone
ABSENT: Councilaan Frazee
