During the month of April and May, 1975 the California Coastal
Zone Conservation Commission will hold hearings throughout the
State. The written report is over 380 pages in length, plus
maps. The staff -is reviewing this Plan and will forward its
comments to the Council shortly.

It is recommended that Council set a work session to review the
Plan and· invite representatives from the San n~ego Regional
Coast Committee to.attend and brief the Council on the major
elements of the Plan with emphasis on its impact on Carlsbad.

to the Governor and Legislature in December, 1975.

any time, but no later than the public hearL,g:;. Simply send your comments
to the Regional or State Commission offices.
Written comments may be submitted at any length. At the public hearings,
however, depending on the number of speakers wishing to be heard, there may
be a limit of three to five minutes for oral statements by a speaker~
The following schedule may be expanded by additional hearings in some places.
For further information about the hearings, please write or call the offices
of. the Coastal Commissions, which are listed on PP• 5--8 of the Preliminary
Coastal Plan.
