Statement of the Matter
Bids for Contract #lo25 were opened at 1O:OO a.m. on May 21, 1975 in
the Office of the City Clerk. Four bid proposals were submitted; see .
Exhibit 2, Bid Summary, for results,
The low bid for the contract was submitted by Asphalt Service of Oceanside in the amount of $99,914,80. The low bid was less than 1% over the engineer's estimate of $99,600. Funds in the amount of $100,000 have been budgeted for this project.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND
.AUTEIORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT #lo25
FOR ASPHALT CONCRETE OVERLAY OF VARIOUS CITY
STREETS
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad for
asphalt concrete overlay of various City streets, Contract #1025;
$ and ,
WHEREAS, the low bid received for this construction was sub-
mitted by A&L Asphalt Company DBA Asphalt Service in the amount
of $99,914.80; and,
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $100,000 were budgeted in FY
.74-75 for this project;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Co.uncil of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. The bid of $99,914.80 by A&L Asphalt Company DBA Asphalt
Service of Oceanside for Contract #1025, for asphalt concrete over.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOP’rED at a regular meeting of the City
