Subject: SALARY PLAN ADOPTION FOR EXECUTIVE AND CERTAIN
ADMINISTRATIVE AND COUNCIL APPOINTED PERSONNEL
Statement of the Matter
The attached ,resolution and exhibits were prepared in response
to the Council's direction of July 8, 1975. The interim salary
plan adopted by Resolution 3686.is amended to reflect a 7.25%
salary range increase for included executive and administrative
personnel, a 7.25% salary range increase for the City Attorney,
and a 10% salary range increase for the City Manager.
In addition, the salary range applicable to the�Parks and
Recreation Director has an additional adjustment of 2.5%.

2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING
3 THE SALARY PLAN FOR CERTAIN EXECUTIVE,
ADMINISTRATIVE AND COUNCIL -APPOINTED
4 PERSONNEL FOR THE 1975-1976 FISCAL YEAR.
5 WHEREAS, the City Council,upon recommendation of the City
6 Manager,has determined to make adjustments in salary for certain
7 executive, administrative and Council -appointed personnel by
8 amending the interim salary plan adopted by Resolution 3686.
9 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
10 City of Carlsbad as follows:
11 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
12 2. That Executive Salary Schedule, Fiscal Year 1975-1976,
13 set out in Exhibit A, and the City Council -appointed officials'
0 14 salary schedule set out in Exhibit B, attached hereto and made a

U 20 of the interim salary plan inconsistent therewith.
21 4. That the City Manager shall have authority to deter-
22 mine the point on the range of the Executive Salary Schedule at
23 which it is appropriate to compensate each individual employee
24 covered by said schedule.
25 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
26 Carlsbad City Council held on the 17tn day of July 1975,
