Rancho Carrillo was annexed to the City of Carlsbad in 1972 known as
"East Carlsbad Annexation No. 2.11." Engineering staff is in the
process of checking the improvement plans and final map of Carlsbad
Tract 73-29, Unit No. 1 (Carrillo Estates). The sewer lines are
designed to drain to the existing adjacent subdivision which is
within the jurisdiction of Leucadia County Water District. It is
therefore necessary to de-annex the existing Carlsbad sewer service
and request Leucadia County Water District to annex such territory.

Recommendat ion
Since this is only the initial step prior to a formal application
to LAFCO by LCWD, all that is necessary from the City Council at
this time is to:
Approve Resolution No . 7& a resolution of the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad requesting Leucadia County Water District to
initiate proceedings to annex such territory.
Council action
10-14-75 Following considerable discussion, the Council requested
the matter continued to the next regular meeting.
10-21-75 Resolution No. 3759, requesting Leucadia County Water District to initiate
proceedings to annex territory known as CT 73-29 (Carrillo Estates) Unit
No. 1, was adopted.

RESOLUTION NO. 3759
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING LEUCADIA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT
TO INITIATE PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX TERRITORY KNOWN AS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, on
November 6, 1974, approved the tentative map of Carlsbad Tract
No. 73-29 by Resolution No. 3538; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad desires to
detach the sewer service area within the proposed Carlsbad Tract
No. 73-29, Unit No. 1;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. A description of the exterior boundaries of said territory
is attached hereto as "Exhibit A" and made a part hereof.
3. That the Leucadia County Water District is hereby request-
ed to initiate proceedings to annex such territory.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a meeting of the City Council
