A special consultant analyzed the air conditioning system in
City Hall and determined that the chilling and air handling units a
capable of providing an adequate cl imate control for City Hall if certain modifications are made to the system. The modifi-
cations consist of providing attic ventilators, new diffusers
to replace existing perimeter diffusers, relocate temperature
controls and various maintenance tasks to improve the effi-
ciency of the system.
The estimated' cost of the modifications are $12;200.00: Funds
in the amount of $14,500.00 have been budgeted in Account No.

1-127-4.0 for this work.

WHEREAS, specifications for the furnishing of all lab
material, tools, equipinent, transportation and other expense
necessary or incidental for said project, Contract No. 1027 hav
been prepared and filed in the Engineering Department of the Ci
of Carlsbad and are incorporated by reference herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE .IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the specifications as presented are hereby
approved.
3. That the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is he
authorized and directed to proceed to publish in

Dear Mrs. Adams:
Pursuant to the Agreement for the use of the Carlsbad City Council
Chambers by the Governing Board of the Carlsbad Unified School District,
action to hold their meetings hereafter in a location other than the City
Council Chambers.
dated May 16, 1972, please be advised that the School Board has taken
This letter, therefore, is a notice to the effect that the Carlsbad
Unified School District wishes to cancel the Agreement referred to above.
The Agreement calls for a 30-day prior notice by either party, but
since it is the School Board that has decided not to use the facilities any
longer I the 3 O-day notice seems meaningless. Therefore 8 we would
request that upon receipt of this letter we consider the Agreement
canceled.
