HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT PROCEDURE
Statement of the Matter
On several occasions complaints have been brought to my
attention concerning business or commercial activities
being operated out of homes in residentially zoned areas
of the City. While certain home occupations are apparently
allowed by City Code under certain restrictions, the
applicable code section appears to be vague and in need of
revision to establish better standards.

Recommendation
It is recommended that the staff be instructed to prepare a
report for the City Council on how other cities throughout
the County handle this matter.
