Sub}ect:GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION March 2, 1976 Statement of the Matter It is necessary at this time to establish the voting precincts for the General Municipal Election to be held March 2, 1976. As indicated, there will be 21 precincts consisting of the regular election precincts in the City of Carlsbad established for the holding of state and county elections, as said regular election precincts exist on the date of adopting the following resolution indicated in exhibit. Council action 1-24-76 Resolution No. 3839 was adopted. 1 RESOLUTION NO. 3839 P A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION , NO. 3800 AS AMENDED BY RESOLUTION NO. AND 3816, CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE A HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, THE 2ND DAY OF MARCH, 5 1976, ESTABLISHING VOTING PRECINCTS. 6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That for the purpose of holding said regular general municipal election, there shall be and are hereby establish 10 ed twenty-one (21) voting precincts consisting of consolidations 11 of the regular election precincts in the City of Carlsbad establish 12 ed for the holding of state and county elections, as said regular 13 election precincts exist on the date of adopting of this resolution 14 That the polling places for the respective precincts shall be the 15 places hereinafter designated; and that the persons hereinafter 16 named, being competent and qualified electors and residents of 17 said City and of their respective voting precincts, are hereby 18 appointed officers of election for their respective voting precinct 19 and they shall hold said election and make return thereof in the 20 manner provided by law. Tilton Eveline Hidalgo The following precincts will vote absentee comprising regular election precincts 40960, Subs 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 9, 40969, 40970, Sub 5, 40974, 40975, 40977 and 40978. SECTION 2. That the compensation of the persons hereinbefore named as election officers is hereby fixed at the sum of Twenty-nin Dollars for each Inspector a.nd Twenty-four Dollars for each Judge and Clerk for said election. The rental for each of such polling places, where a charge is made, shall be the sum of Twenty-five Dollars for said election. When required, the compensation of the Custodian of a building shall be Fifteen Dollars for said election. SECTION 3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California held on the 2/1•th day of January, 1976 by the following vote, to wit: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Councilman Lewis Councilman Frazee, Chase, Skotnicki and C o u n c i 1 w o m a n C a s 1 e r None ERT C.
