RECREATION SUPERINTENDENT SALARY
Statement of the Matter
The present position of recreation superintendent„ Parks and
Recreation Department, is in salary Range 36. It has been
recognized for some time that this position may be at a salary
range lower than the responsibilities justify, and lower than
positions of similar responsibility within the City structure
and throughout the County.
In anticipation of this, money was provided in the 1975-76 Fiscal
Year Budget. `

Recommendation
It is recommended that the salary, schedule for the recreation
superintendent be amended to show a change in the salary from '
Range 36 ($473.72 - $576.24) to Range 38 ($497.47 - $604.85). i

2-17-76 Resolution #3860 was adopted, authorizing and directing a change
of Recreation Superintendent position from Salary Range 36 to
Salary Range 38. '.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING A CHANGE OF RECREATION
SUPERINTENDENT POSITION FROM SALARY RANGE
36 TO SALARY RANGE 38.
WHEREAS, the present Salary Range 36 is considered inadequate
commensurate to the responsibilities of the position of. RECREATION
SUPERINTENDENT;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as "ollows:
1. That the above .facts are true and correct.
2. That it is directed and authorized the position of
RECREATION SUPERINTENDENT be rescheduled from -Salary
Range 36 to Salary Range 38 in the City of Carlsbad
Biweekly Salary Schedule.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council held on the 17th day of February, 1976,
by the following vote, to wit: '
AYES: Councilmen Frazee, Chase, Lewis, Skotnicki and
Councilwoman Casler
