Statement of the Matter
A presentation of preliminary plans and estimates is being
submitted. Design plans have been made available to the
Historical Society, Parks and Recreation Commission and other
interested parties. Plans have also been available in the City Manager's office for viewing by any interested citizen. In all cases the general concept met with approval.
The following suggestions were made:
1. Retain the C.alifornia cooler.
2. Security system.
3. Fire warning system.
4. ' Possibility of a brick fireplace.
5. Possibility of students working 6% the Magee'house.

Recommendation
Mr. Ed Ebright has indicated that there is no problem with retaining the California cooler and that a security system and a fire warning system should be considered. While someone has suggested a brick fireplace be installed in the house, there is no indication that such a fireplace has ever existed and we would not recommend that any be included. While the use of students to help refurbish the Magee house is a possibility,
it might be more appropriate to consider such work in connection
with restoration of the barn and do all work on the house itself
under the contract.
If- the Council concurs, or has any additional changes, they
subject to those changes. . should 'instruct Mr. Ebright to complete the plans and specifications

3-9-76 A motion was made that Mr. Ebright complete the plans and specifications and that there be no student involvement on the Magee House property.
