REQUEST FOR FUNDS - MAYOR'S YOUTH COMMITTEE '
Statement of the Matter
The Mayor's Youth Committee has received an invitation from
the Concord Youth Commission to a statewide convention in
Concord, California on April 9, 10, and 11, 1976. Mr. Tom
Robertson, Advisor, feels it would be beneficial if Chuck
Grafft, Chairman of the Mayor's Youth Committee could attend.
The cost would be approximately $165.00. They are seeking
Council approval of their request for funds in order that
Mr. Grafft might attend the convention.

3-9-76 It was moved that Chuck Grafft, Chairman of the Mayor's Youth
Committee be authorized to attend the statewide convention
in Concord, California on April 9, 10, and 11, 1976 and that
the request for funding in the amount of $165.00 be approved.

Dear Mr. Bussey:
The I&yor's Youth Commission has received a notice from the Concord
Youth Commission inviting members of the Carlsbad Mayor's Youth
Committee to attend a statewide convention which would be held
in Concord on the 9, 10, and 11 of April.
Mr. Tom Robertson, advisor, and I feel that it would be very
beneficial if I could attend. Since I am also President of
the San Diego County Youth Coalition I would in effect be
representing San Diego County. This trip would involve an
expenditure of approximately $165.00. This would include:
Plane fare (round trip) 63.00
Meals for 3 days 45.00
Lodging 2 nights 40.00
Taxi fare to and from 15.00
the airport and to
convention
163.00
There is a possibility that I could stay with friends which might
reduce the expense by $40.00.
Will you ask the City Council to consider this request at the
March 9, 1976 council meeting?
