Subject: ELM AVENUE EXTENSION
Statement of the Matter
It is necessary that the City acquire certain property adjoining the Elm Avenue extension to the north in order to widen and have slope rights on property owned by Mrs. McCauley at the corner of Valley and Elm extension.
Staff has been able to obtain a price for this necessary
widening and slope rights from Mrs. McCauley that is
satisfactory to all parties concerned.\An appraisal was
obtained that indicates the price is within.the limits of the required taking, Consequently, staff is requesting
that Council approve the purchase of the property as , outlined in the purchase contract in order that work may proceed on the Elm Avenue extension.

That Council approve acquisitipn of this property in the amount of $14,800.00 for widening and slope easements necessary to extend Elm Avenue.
