Subject: COMFORT STATION - LAGUNA RIVIERA PARK - CONTRACT NO. 1036.
Statement of the Matter
On May 17, 1976, at 1O:OO a.m., the City Clerk opened sealed bids for Contract No. 1036 to build a comfort station at Laguna Riviera Park.
The engineers estimate for this project is $17,500 and the low bid was
submitted by Shelstead Construction Construction of Del Mar in the
amount of $18,950.
Laguna Riviera Park is located in Park Area No. 4 and a recommendation
for funding of this construction is contained in Exhibit 2, memo from Director of Parks and Recreation.

Recommendation
Adopt Resolution No. 3P/B’, accepting bids and authorizing the Mayor
to execute a contract with the low bidder Shelstead Construction of Del Mar.
Council action
6-1-76 Resolution #3918 was adopted, accepting bids and authorizing Mayor to execute the contract.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND AUTHOR-
IZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT NO. 1036 FOR CON-
STRUCTION OF A COMFORT STATION AT LAGUNA RIVIERA.
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad for
the construction of a comfort station at Laguna Riviera Park, Con-
tract No. 1036; and,
WHEREAS, the low bid received for this construction was sub-
mitted by Shelstead Construction in the amount of $18,950.00 and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. The bid of $18,950.00 by Shelstead Construction of Del
Mar for Contract No. 1036, for construction of a comfort station
at Laguna Riviera Park is hereby accepted and the Mayor and City
Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a contract therefor.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad held the 1st day of June I
1976, by the following vote, to wit:
