Statement of the Matter
The City Council at your meeting of May 18, 1976, directed
the City Attorney to prepare the necessary documents amending
Title 21, Chapter 21.33, Section 21.33.020 of the Carlsbad
Municipal Code by the addition of subsection (14) to add
certain agricultural uses as permitted uses in the open space
zone. The ordinance adopting the zone code amendment is attached

Recommendation

introduced.

6-1-76 Ordinance #9461 was introduced for a first reading.
6-15-76 Ordinance #9461 was given a second reading and adopted.

ORDINANCE NO. 9461
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
TITLE 21, CHAPTER 21.33, SECTION 21.33.020
OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE
ADDITION OF SUBSECTION (14) TO ADD CERTAIN
AGRICULTURAL USES AS PERMITTED USES IN THE
0-S (OPEN SPACE ZONE).
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California,
does ordain as follows:

SECTION 1: Title 21, Chapter 21.33, Section 21.33.020 of
the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by the addition of
subsection (14) to read as follows: .
"(14) Agricultural uses as follows:
(a) Field and seed crops,
(b) Truck crops,
(c) Horticultural crops,
(d) Orchards and vineyards,
(e) Pasture and rangeland,
(f) Tree farms,
(g) Fallow lands."
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty

days after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least
once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days after its adoption,
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council held on thelst day of June , 1976, and
