I Subject : APPOINTMENTS TO TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSION " Statement of the Matter The terms of two Traffic Safety Commission members will expire in July, 1976. Also, due to personal reasons, a third member has had to resign from the Commission. Therefore, it will be necessary to fill. three vacancies; for one term that will expire 'in July, 1977, and for two terms that will expire in July, 1978. Exhibi.t - Resolution No. T?/ 9 Recommendation If Council concurs, adopt Resolution No. z?/? r appointing three member to the Traffic Safety Commission. Counci 1 action 6-1-76 The Mayor noted there were three vacancies on the Traffic Safe Commission and requested the matter considered at the next reg meeting of the City Council. 6-15-76 The Mayor suggested. that M-; W. Hanna be considered for the unexpired term, and Michael Reiley and William C. Harkin for t two full terms. Also suggested for consideration was G. S. Mo Jr. 7-6-76 Mr. G. S. Moore, Jr. was appointed to an unexpired term, whic term expires July, 1977. Further, Mr. William C. Harkins was reappointed for a full term and Mr. Michael R. Riley was appointed to a full term, both terms to expire July, 1978. Because of a personal situation that has arisen with one of our grandchildren, I will probably be out of Carlsbad a great deal of time this year, which means I would miss at least half of the Commission meetings md this is not fair to the other members of the Commission.
