Subject: CARLSBAD TRACT 75-4 (LA COSTA ESTATES NORTH)
ACCEPTANCE OF STREETS
Statement of the Matter
Candil Way, Candil Place and Managua Place of Carlsbad Tract 75-4
(La Costa Estates North), Map No. 8302, recorded May 5, 1976 were
offered for dedication but said offer was rejected by the City be-
cause it was the intent, at that time, that La Costa Land Co. would
develop the subdivision as a privately maintained and security
patrolled area. The applicant, La Costa Land Co., is now requesting
the City to accept Candil Way, Candil Place and Managua Place on
behalf of the public because they have decided against the private
subdivision concept. The abovementioned streets are designed accord
ing to City standards and acceptance is now in order.

Recommendation
Adopt a motion approving Resolution No. 3/^^B regarding acceptance
of Candil Place, Candil Way, and Managua Place of Carlsbad Tract
75-4 (La Costa Estates North).
Council action
7-6-76 Resolution #3943 was adopted, accepting for public street purposes
certain previously rejected streets.

THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Carlsbad does hereby resolve
as follows:
1. The following streets, known as Candil Way, Candil Place
° and Managua Place located in the City of Carlsbad, County of San

tified copy of this resolution to be recorded in the office of the
County Recorder of San Diego County and to cause a copy thereof to
be forwarded to the County Assessor of the County of San Diego,
State of California.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held the 6th day of

Whereas said offer was rejected by your body.
Whereas Section 66477.2 of the Government Code of t$e) Stale "of ~~
California provides that a rejected offer of dedication shall remain
open and subject to future acceptance by the City.
Whereas said streets are being constructed according to City Standards
and are shown on the Improvement Plans, Project No. 75-20, approved by
the City Engineer.

Therefore, I respectfully request that you accept Candil Way, Candil Place
and Managua Place, for street purposes, on behalf of the Public.
