ACCEPTING A BEQUEST OF EUGENE B. KLYCE
Statement of the Matter
We have been informed that the City of Carlsbad has been
named asa beneficiaryof the will of Mr. Eugene Be Klyce.
Mr. Klyce has bequeathed the sum of $600,00 to the City of Carlsbad, along with a number of other cities, including
Fort Smith, Little Rock and Rogers, Arkansas; McAlester, Oklaho Tupelo, Mississippi; and Treasure Island, Winter Haven, Fort Lauderdale and Fort Myers Beach, Florida. The money must be us
for the purpose of installing a parallel bar and three horizont
bars (low, medium and high) in a public park or beach for the use of the public. If the Council wishes to accept the bequest for the intended purpose, the attached resolution must be
adopted and forwarded to the executor of the estate prior to October 27, 1976.

Recommendation
If the Council wishes to accept the bequest of Mr. Klyce of
$600.00 for parallel hars, your action is to adopt Resolution

RESOLUTION NO. 4001
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA EXPRESSING
ITS INTENTION TO ACCEPT THE BEQUEST OF
EUGENE B. KLYCE OF THE SUM OF $600.00
FOR THE PURPOSE OF INSTALLING A PARALLEL
BAR AND THREE HORIZONTAL BARS IN A PUBLIC
PARK OR BEACH.
WHEREAS, Eugene B. Klyce has by his Last Will and Tec
bequeathed the sum of $600.00 to the City of Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, said bequest is made upon the condition thai
