Subject: Purchase of Compound Water Meter
.Statement of the Matter
In accordance with Section 3.28.100 of the Municipal Code, Notice to
Bidders was published and Request for Bids was made November 17, 1976,
for an 8" Compound Water Meter to be installed on the 10" water line
which serves the SDG&E power plant from Cannon Road. The meter and
installation are being funded by SDG&E and cost of the meter will be
charged against a deposit of $5000 which was provided by SDG&E on
November 23, 1976.
Two bids were received, opened, witnessed and recorded on December 1,
1976. The lowest bid for the compound water meter was submitted by
Hersey Products Inc.; 2425 S. Eastern Avenue; Los Angeles, Ca 90040,in the amount of $3,927, plus tax for a total of $4,162.62.

Recommendation

5 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
6 California, as follows:
7 1. That the bid of Hersey Products Inc., 2425 S. Eastern
8 Avenue; Los Angeles, Ca 90040, is hereby accepted and the City
9 Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract for the
10 purchase of an 8" Compound Water Meter in the amount of $3,927.00
11 plus tax, for a total of $4,162.62.
12 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
13 of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held on the 7th day of Decenber
14 1976, by the following vote, to wit:
