Statement" of the Matter °
Pursuant to State Law regulating General Plan Amendments and City Policy
which sets precise dates for amendments throughout the calendar year, the
following dates are "recommended for your consideration:
1) First GPA date - Council meeting'of May 17, 1977.
2) Second GPA date - Council meeting of Sept. 20, 1977.
3) Third GPA - left open for Council use when needed.
The two set-dates are suggested later than usual because it is anticipated
that the General Plan Summary, including minor administrative amendments,
will be ready for Council Act'ion in February. The open-date would be \ised
for this hearing. Any private requests that are pending could also be taken
at this time (Hadley, Financial Scene, etc.).
It should be noted that there are no cut-off dates recommended for assistance
of applications. It is staff's intent to process General Plan Amendment
requests in accordance with the agenda calendar that is adopted by the Plan-
ning Commission each year. Staff would then hold all completed commission
actions until the Council dates recommended above.
Recommendation :
