Statement ,of the Matter .--
The 1976 session of the State legislature added a chapter to the
Government Code which imposes new procedure requirements on the appointment of individuals to city boards, commissions and committees.
Copies of the legislation and comments by the City Attorney regarding the legislation have been forwarded previously to the City Council.
A list of city boards, commissions and committee positions expiring
in the calendar year 1977 has been prepared in accordance with
Chapter 238, Government Code Section 54970 et seq. of the State of
California. This list will be posted in the City Clerk’s office
and published in the newspaper.

1-4-77 The Council accepted the list of vacancies for calendar year 1977 and discussed the possibility of changing the administrative procedure for filling the vacanc.ies. Councilmen Lewis and Skotnicki voluteered to meet and discuss possible changes in the procedure and report back to the City Council.
