Will rezoninq of the projec.t site at this time adversely affect the
neiqhborhood?
DISCUSSION
Five small' parcels to the east of the project site are also zoned
R-l-7500 and designated for RMH use in the General Plan. The
City's recent policy has been to initiate a rezoninq of such
similar parcels. Staff has not done so in this case because those,
remaininq lots are small s and individually do not lend themselves -.-,
to multipie-family development.
Planninq staff does not feel that rezon.inn the project site by itself
would adversely affect the neighborhood. Multiple-family nrojects
exist to the west, and the project site is a logical extension of
that use. The remaining R-l lots could be consolidated at some
future date into one or two lots suitable for multipie-fami 1y re-
zoning and development.
