The Engineering Department has reviewed the list and sent notices to the utility companies, districts, and departments to ascertain any conflicts with. proposed utility projects. P.er Exhibit B, chip sealing of City streets will be incorporated into the annual resurfacing program for the first time. If Council approves this list, we will request approval of plans and specifications at the April 19 meeting'and would be to Council on June 7, 1977 for ward of bid. Additionally, some major streets are deterioting to the point that some rehabilitation efforts are necessary - although an overlay of them would require in excess of the budget allocation for them alone - specifically, Palomar Airport Road from 1-5 to the County Line and from El Camino Real to the raceway, and El Camino Real from Hiway 78 to Chestnut. Both roads are exhibiting cracking and alligatoring, however, their rideability is acceptable.
