ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY ADJOINING HOLIDAY PARK

Statement of the Matter
Mr. Forest Krueger, the owner of property located at the northe
corner of Holiday Park, has inquired if there is interest on th
City's part in acquiring his property. He has obtained a lette
of opinion from San Luis Rey Appraisal Associates advising him
that their estimate of value is $52,000.
This property is zoned R3, is a level corner lot with street
frontage on both Eureka Place (165 ft.) and Basswood Avenue (90 contains approximately 14,000 sq. ft. and all utilities are ava
Staff is of the opinion that it would be worthwhile to acquire
last remaining parcel which would complete Holiday Park. Mr. K
house could be used for a number of functions, i.e., relocating
Parks Department, as a small community center, interim Girls' C meeting place, or for use by the Boy Scouts.
