CURB, GUTTER AND SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT PROGRAM - FIRST INCREMENT Contract No. 1041 Statement of the Matter THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVED PERSONNELy EQUIPMENT AND FUNDS TO CONTRACT FOR BUDGET. PLANS FOR THE FIRST INCREMENT OF THIS PROGRAM ARE IN THE FINAL STAGES OF COMPLETION AND ARE IN SUFFICIENT DETAIL SUCH AS, THE FIRST CONTRACT FOR FORMING AND FINISHING CAN BE LET FOR BID. A CONCRETE CURB, GUTTER AND SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT PROGRAM IN THE FY 76-77 PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR APPROXIMATELY 6,100 FEET OF CURB AND GUTTER, 1500 FEET OF SIDEWALK, 11 DRIVEWAY OPENINGS AND TWO CROSS GUTTERS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED. IjUDGETED FUNDS IN THE. AMOUNT OF $50,000. ARE AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROJECT IN STREETS ACCOUNT NUMBER 01-128-2411. The first increment has been staffed with the Director of Parks and Recreation and he advises that root pruning and removal can begin shortly. It is recommended that proposed programs be approved and that Council approve the specifications for forming and finishing the replacement curb, gutter and sidewalk. RESOLUTION NO. 5074 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO INVITE BIDS FOR CONTRACT NO. 1041 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECI- WHEREAS, the City Cour.cil of the City of Carlsbad has determined that it is necessary and in the public interest to replace curb, gutter and sidewalks along .various City streets; and WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the furnishing of all labor, material, tools, equipment, transportation and other expense . necessary or incidental for said project, Contract No. 1041, have been prepared and filed in the Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated by reference herein; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT XESOLVED by the Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows: . 1.' That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the plans and specifications as presented are hereby approved. 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby c authorized and directed to proceed to publish, in accordance with law, notice to contractors inviting bids for replacement of curb, gutter and sidewalks along various City streets, hereinafter described, in accordance with the plans and specifications hereabove referred to. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held on the 3rd day of May, 1977 by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Frazee, Lewis, Packard, Skotnicki and Counci 1 woman Cas1 er NOES: None ATTEST : &dy ROBERT C.
