CPO SERIES IV POPULATION FORECASTS
Statement of the Matter
In an effort to provide population projections for long-range planning, CPO has developed the Series IV Population Forecasts.
The forecasts were derived using 1975 special census data, in- formation on the General Plan and land use assumptions supplied
by City staff. 1975 census figures and forecasts for 1980, 1985,
1990 and 1995 were plotted for each Traffic Analysis Zone (TAZ)
throughout the City. These figures again received City staff
review and refinement.
To acquaint City Council with the Series IV Forecasts, CPO staff
will make a presentation outlining the purpose and mechanics of
the forecasts. Both CPO and City staff will be available to
answer questions Council might have concerning the assumptions or final figures.
Recommendation
No Council action is required.
Council Action:
5-17-77 Mr. Rick Alexander, representative from Comprehensive Planning Organization (CPO) made a presentation to the Council. No Council action was taken.
