Subject: 4 June 21, 1977 STOP CONTROL ON VALLEY STREET AT ELM AVENUE Statement of the Matter Due to .the anticipated traffic volumes expected on Elm Avenue once the new street extension is constructed, the Traffic - Safety Commission at its June 7, 1977 meeting recommended that STOP control be established on Valley Street, both north and south of its intersection with Elm Avenue, and that the existing stop sign facing eastbound traffic on Elm Avenue (which was never officially established by resolution or ordinance) be removed. EXHIBIT : A. Resolution No. s//g . RECOMMENDATION: That the City Council adoFt Resolution No. x/jg establishing STOP control. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council held on the 21st day of June , 1977 by the following vote, to wit: AYES : NOES : None. ABSENT: Councilman Skotnicki.
