DATE : July 19, 1977 City Atty /SI DEPARTMENT: PLANNING City Mgr. / S/ - SUBJECT : COMMUNITY SWIMNING POOL CASE NO: EIR-360 STATEMENT OF THE MATTER REQUEST : The Planning staff prepared the EIR-380 with the assistance of Westec Services and evaluated the impacts of the Community Swimming Pool on the location at the Carlsbad High School. The Planning Commission recommended certification of EIR-380 with the addition of a mitigating measure that will provide for tennis courts to be constructed as soon as possible or after the present tennis courts are removed. EXH I B I TS : EIR-380 RECOMMENDAT ION : The Planning Commission recommended certification of EIR-380. Staff concurs and recommends that the City Council by motion certify EIR-380. Planning Council action 7-19-77 Following the public hearing the City Council certified Environmental Impact Report 389 as meeting a1 1 requirements of the Carlsbad Environmental Protection Ordinance of 1972.
