Directional Signs
STATEMENT OF THE MATTER
The City has received two requests from outdoor sign companies asking the Planning Department to develop a procedure to allow temporary subdivision directional signs.

Upon receiving the present request to reconsider our regulation, Staff contacted
Mr. Don Brown, Executive Director of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Brown indicated the Chamber wishes to reactivate the Committee to complete the directional sign program.

Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Council request the Chamber of Commerce to reinstate the committee on directional signing working with Planning Staff as a resource.
