Subject : "NO PARKING" Zone - Ponto Drive North of Ponto Off-ramp on Carlsbad Boulevard
Statement of the Matter
At its September 6, 1977 meeting, the Traffic Safety Commission recommended that "NO PARKING ANYTIME - TOW AkIAY" be established on the west side of Ponto
Drive from a point 600 feet north of the Ponto interchange along Carlsbad Boulevard northerly for a distance of 1,200 feet to the on-ramp just north of McDougal's Sanitation facility. "NO PARKING 12 F'IIDNIGHT - 6 A.M. - TOW AWAY" and "PARK OFF PAVEMENT" signs be installed on the east side of the above same section of Ponto Drive.
The Commission also recommended that
These recommendations were made due to the narrow 24-foot width of Ponto Drive and various problems resulting from overnight parking outside the
South Carlsbad State Beach campgrounds.

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, 1
California as follows :
1. That "NO PARKING ANYTIME - TOW AWAY" be established on the
.ivest 'side of Ponto Drive from a point 600 feet north of the Ponto
interchange along Carlsbad Boulevard northerly for a distance of
1,200 feet;
. 2. That "NO PARKING 12 MIDNIGHT - 6 A.M. - TOW AWAY" be
stablished on the east side of Ponto Drive from a point 600 feet
.north of the Ponto interchange along Carlsbad Boulevard northerly
for a distance of 1,200 feet.
