SELECTION OF APPRAISER - CITY LAND EXPANSION

Statement of the Matter
Land directly east of the present Library building has been
selected by Melvin & Thoryck, Architects, as a possible site
for municipal purposes. There are two parcels comprising a total of 3.15 acres and four older homes.
Requests were sent to three MA1 Appraisers for submittal of
quotations to appraise the land only, excluding the improvement and to appraise the parcels as a whole. All are shown on Exhib
Quotes have been received from the following MA1 appraisers:
Robert Dodd $2,000
Robert Markley ' $2,400 Lee Johnson $ 960

Recommendation
If Council concurs, approve the low bid submitted by Lee Johnso
to do the appraisal. Mr. Johnson was thc appraiser of the prop purchased by the City at State Street and Grand Avenue.

appraisals on Elm Avenue. Your bid of $960 for the
complete appraisals was accepted by the City Council
-at their meeting of September 20, 1977.
