Subject: STREET VACATION OF A PORTION OF PUEBLO STREET (FORMERLY VELERO COURT) AND UTILITY EASEMENT QUITCLAIM DEED ADJACENT TO PUEBLO STREET
Statement of the Matter --
Rick Engineering, the design engineers for Carlsbad Tract 76-17 (Canon Park) Map No. 8619, is requesting to vacate a portion of Pueblo Street. See Exhibit "A". Said subdivision is a resubdivision of Lots 251 to 270 and portions of Lots 271 and 273 of CT 72-20 (La Costa Vale #2) in which Pueblo Street is designed to extend to Solano Street.
The Planning, Engineering, Fire, and Utilities/Maintenance Departments; San Diego Gas ti Electric, Pacific Telephone, Olivenhain Municipal Water District, and San DieCo County Flood Control District have no objections to subject vacation. However, reservations for an-existing utilities easement shall be retained in the proposed vacation of a portion of Pueblo Street.
In conjunction with the street vacation, granting of a Quitclaim Deed of existing 10 foot public utility and tree planting easements adjacent to Pueblo Street over Lots 261, 262, 263, and 264 of Map No. 7779 should be considered with the vacation request.

Council action
10-4-77 Resolution #5214 was adopted, declaring the Council's intention to vacate a portion of Pueblo Street, formerly Velero Court, and setting a public hearing for November 1, 1977.

This vacatron is required to allow for the development of Canon
Park as shown on the approved tentative map.

\fr OF CARLSBAD DECLARING IHTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF
PUEBLO STREET (FORMERLY VELERO COURT).
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as
follows:
1. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby declare
its intention to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of
1941 to vacate a portion of Pueblo Street (formerly Velero Court), located
within the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California,
particularly described on Drawing No. 170-10A on file in the office of the
City Engineer of the City of Carlsbad and on Exhibit "A" attached thereto.
2. Proceedings for vacation of the said portion of Pueblo Street
(formerly Velero Court) are taken subject to certain reservations as may be
required for sewer, water, drainage, and other utility purposes.

3. A public hearing shall be held at the City Council Chambers
at 1200 Elm Avenue, Carlsbad, California, at 7: ooP.M., on November 1, 1977
for the purpose of hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said
proposed vacation.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad
City Council .held on the 4th day of October , 1977 by the following
vote, to wit:
