Mgr. Sub ectj AUTO LEASING - BUILDING DEPARTMENT.' Statement of the Matter The work load of the Building Department has necessitated the hiring of temporary building inspectors. It does not appear that there will be a decrease in the work load in the forseeable future, therefore, we feel it necessary that two cars be leased for a one year period. A factor in this request is the advent of the Bullock's store which will require one or two inspectors for a lengthy period of time. At the present time the building inspectors are doubling up in City vehicles which is not an effective method for accomplishing the building inspection work throughout the city. The cost of leasing two vehicles for one year would be $3,700 and funds are available in the Contingency Fund.
