Statement of the Matter
Sealed bids for the installation of a lighting system at Chase Little League
Field were opened at 3:OO p.m., October 18, 1977, in the City Clerk's Office.
The Bid Summary (Exhibit I) gives a breakdown of bids. The low bid of $25,660,
submitted by Davies Electric Co., Inc., was $4,205 under the Engineer's estimate
of $29,865.
Funds in the amount of $30,160 are available in Account No. 1-132-3910 for this
p ro j ect .

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTiNG BIDS AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
CONTRACT NO. 1042 FOR INSTALLATION OF LIGHTING
AT CHASE LITTLE LEAGUE FIELD
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad for installa-
tion of lighting at Chase Little League Field, Contract No. 1042; and
WHEREAS, the low bid received for this construction was submitted by
Davies Electric Co., Inc., in the amount of $25,660; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $30,160 were budgeted in FY1977-78
for this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of

Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct;
2. That the bid of $25,660 by Davies Electric Co., Inc., of San Diego
for Contract No. 1042, for installation of lighting at Chase Li-MIe League
Field, is hereby accepted, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to execute a contract therefor.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad held the 1st day of November ,
1977, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES : Councilmen Frazee, Lewis, Packard, Skotnicki and
