CITY LIBRARY PAINTING - CONTRACT NO. 1038
Statement of the Matter
Doric Painting Co., the contractor for subject project, has satisfactorily
completed the work on Contract No. 1038. The contractor has been paid 90% ,
of the contract amount of $6,700. The final•10% will be paid 35 days after
the Notice of Completion is recorded. f

Recommendation
If Council concurs, adopt a motion accepting the work and ordering the City
Clerk to record the Notice of Completion and release the bonds 35 days after
the recording date.

MEMORANDUM
TO: City Engineer (Contract Administration)
FROM:. Director of Utilities and Maintenance
SUBJECT: Library Painting Contract ,
I have inspected the work done under subject contract and
find the work to have substantially met the stated specifications. I
recommend that the work be accepted.
The following items, not covered by the contract, although
some items were on the final Library purchase list, will be accomplished
by this Department in the near future: ,
1. Reinstall and test external heat risers;
2. Refinish atrium benches; ,
3. Repaint LIBRARY letter sign at both entrances; '
4. Re -caulk seams on south pillars; and
5. Inspect and patch roof as necessary.
It is further recommended that a glazier be retained `to
inspect and re -caulk as necessary all of the sealed windows.
