This expanded project would complete all public improvements on this block
except for the northeast corner which is privately owned. It would facili-
tate maintenance of the street and provide a pedestrian walkway in an area
where it is badly needed.
City Manager -2- December 27, 1977
If the Council decides to accept the School District's offer and contribute
to the expanded project, I would propose that we delay work at the corner
of Basswood and Valley until work on the new school tennis courts is complete.
RECOMMENDATION
That City Council accept the School District's offer and instruct the City
Manager to prepare an agreement with the Carlsbad Unified School District to
provide pub1 ic improvements along Val ley Street.
